Fireballs

In respect to writing, the greatest advice I ever got was at a burger joint.

This was quite a few years back, Finley and I met over at the Nook (on Hamline) and I mentioned to him that I was considering writing a book.

He politely smirked before advising.......

"If you are gonna write anything worth reading, just make sure that you don't get in the way of your stories.

People often shine the light on themselves and not there topics.

Think about your audience, figure out what they want to hear, before they know what they want to hear, and then just start throwing fireballs. Close your eyes and envision every sentance you write. if it's a fireball...keep it. If it isn't....don't!"
